Welcome to HYSA Field Hockey!

Our Field Hockey Program is designed to introduce young players to the sport of field hockey, to teach the fundamentals and concepts of field hockey while having fun. We offer our programs to both Harwinton and Burlington residents in grades 3-6, as well as residents of surrounding communiites without field hockey recreation programs. Our primary season is in the fall, and runs for approximately 8-10 weeks. Off season, we typically offer an indoor winter program for grades 3rd through 8th.

Our Program

The coach for the 3rd/4th and 5th/6th grade team is Brooke Harris. Practices begin the first week of school for Region 10, at Lewis Mills High School. Practices will be 5:30-7:00pm, day TBD. As the days get shorter, we will end practice a little earlier.

We try to schedule games for the 3rd/4th grade with other similar communities in the facinity but many of the programs have disolved and as such, games are difficult to schedule. The 5th/6th grade games are every Sunday at 2:30. There will be no games held Labor Day Weekend or Columbus Day Weekend. Schedules will be posted in August.
